Recital at Music Hall

This evening at 5:10 p.m., Nancy Farndale of Forest City will perform in the Recital Hall of the Music Building on campus. She will play Mendelssohn’s Sonata VI and several chorale preludes she has written on familiar hymn tunes.
Farndale has studied at Iowa State and completed her degree at St. Olaf College. She has worked in Rome and London and was appointed chapel organist at Waldorf College in 1992. She is also organist at the Forest City United Methodist Church.
Now, she lives in Forest City with her husband, a math and physics teacher at Waldorf, and her two young children. She has studied organ with Lynn Zeigler, associate professor of music at ISU, and composition with Iowa State music graduate Geoffrey Wilcken.
The concern is free and open to the public.
