Iowa State alumnus Christopher J. Eygabroad, 23, was killed Wednesday in a car accident three miles northwest of Pocahontas.

According to accident reports, Eygabroad’s 1986 Cutlass Ciera collided with a semi-tractor trailer when the it failed to yield. Eygabroad was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from his vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene due to head injuries.

Eygabroad graduated in May with a degree in mechanical engineering. Funeral services are today in Armstrong.
