Cyclone Hockey completes second sweep of the year

The Cyclones move to 4-0 on the young fall season as they completed the weekend sweep over Waldorf on Saturday. It was another blowout with the Cyclones taking the game 8-2 and outscoring Waldorf by a total of 16-2 this weekend. Cyclone forward Stuart Pearson opened the game with a goal just 4:48 into the first quarter. The Warriors evened the score with a goal by Darrin Bruce 11:42 into the game.

The Clones were not happy with their play in the first period as it ended tied at 1. Pearson quickly opened the second period with a goal just 33 seconds in. Brooks Mitzel, Conner Hunt, Austin Keil and Joey Marcucilli all scored in the 2nd frame as well putting the Clones up 5-1 to end the middle frame.

Another quick goal to open the third frame was knocked in by Eli Kopish just 2:22 in. Sean Mallonee from Waldorf brought the score to 6-2 with his goal at 5:52. Marculli tallied another goal in the third along with Max Kemper, for a final score of 8-2 Cyclones. Two blowout wins give the Cyclones crucial momentum heading into next weekend.
