Students, faculty and community members joined together on Nov. 14 for the Veterans Center Community Supper to honor veterans and their family members. This event was held in the Great Hall of the Memorial Union at 5 p.m. Lieutenant Colonel William McTernan, a detachment commander, opened the evening with the statement, “3,000 veterans from ISU” when speaking about the mass of individuals who have attended Iowa State and who have served in the military.
