Temple transfer and projected impact player Jeremiah Williams will miss the entirety after injuring the Achilles tendon in his left leg in practice on Thursday, the team announced.

Williams was projected to have a major impact on the team during the 2022-23 season, as he played a big role at Temple on both sides of the ball.

The guard played a pair of collegiate seasons, averaging 9.5 points per game and 4.3 assists in his most recent one. Williams also led the team in steals his freshman year with 1.2 per game.

In a release from the team on Friday, T.J. Otzelberger said the team is doing everything in its power to get Williams back healthy for the remainder of his college career.

Williams will still have a few more years of college eligibility, so this is far from the end of the story for him if he is able to get healthy once again.
