Former Cyclone point guard Monte Morris played a career-high 22 minutes Monday for the Denver Nuggets as they knocked off two-time defending champions, Golden State, 100-98.

Morris came off the bench to provide a spark for the Nuggets. He shot 4-of-10 from the floor to add nine points, along with a career-high six rebounds and four assists.

Morris’ nine points were fourth-most on the team and second-most among the Nuggets’ bench. His six rebounds ranked third on the team and his four dimes were good for second on the team.

Morris and the Nuggets return to action Tuesday when they host the Sacramento Kings.
