Faces of the CALS career fair

The annual fall College of Agriculture and Life Sciences’ career fair took place at the Lied Recreation Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Tuesday.

Over 260 companies attended the fair to recruit students for future internships and job opportunities. According to a press release, the career fair is the largest of its kind in the country, giving way to diversified options and experiences for young business professionals.

What was your favorite part of the career fair?

“I enjoyed making connections with industry leaders to build my future career.”

What companies were you excited to see?

“I looked forward to talking to crop science research companies specifically.”


Connor Hokinson

What was your favorite part of the career fair?

“I liked talking to everybody and learning about their companies.”

What companies were you excited to see?

“I talked to Bayer, Agrigold and Becks.”

How did you prepare for the career fair?

“I prepared for career fair through orientation class. Also, my brother is an engineer and has been on the other side of [the] career fair so he helped with career fair tips.”

What was your favorite part of the career fair?

“The opportunity to interact with businesses was my favorite thing about career fair.”

What companies are you excited to see?

“I plan to talk to Agreliant and Bayer.”

How did you prepare for the career fair?

“I prepared for career fair by looking up opportunities on CyHire, as well as meeting with Mike Gaul.”

“I enjoyed interacting with different companies at the fair.”

What companies were you excited to see?

“I talked to Farmers Co-op Society.”

How did you prepare for the career fair?

“To prepare for the career fair I went over my good qualities and found an opportunity for Farmers Co-op Society on CyHire.”

Major: Animal Science

What was your favorite part of the career fair?

“Career fair gives a great chance to network and meet companies we wouldn’t have had opportunity to interact with on the daily.”

What companies are you excited to see?

“I plan to speak with Summit Ag Group and Christensen Farms.”

How did you prepare for the career fair?

“I found opportunities on CyHire as well as meeting with Mike Gaul.”
