Cyclone gymnastics will host their third home meet of the season as No. 30 Illinois State and Iowa State face off Friday.

The meet marks the fourth meet of the season for the Cyclones and also comes off the heels of a win over Big 12 rival, BYU.

In their first two contests, the Cyclones fell just short of a win to Big 10 teams Nebraska and Penn State. Both losses were contested with a less-than-one-point differential.

The third meet yielded different results with the Cyclones and first-year head coach Ashley Miles Greig capturing their first victory, with a final score of 196.900-196.125 over BYU.

Thus far, the Cyclones have been led by freshman Noelle Adams who has put up consistent 9.9-point performances and was crucial in the win against BYU.

The Redbirds up to this point are 5-1. They boast wins over the likes of Bowling Green, Greenville, Texas Woman’s, Central Michigan and George Washington. Their only loss came in a meet at Western Michigan, contested by a 0.225-point differential.

The Cyclones stand as the Redbirds’ first Power Five opponent of the year. Iowa State has put up two separate meets with more than 196 points while Illinois State has failed to do so once in any of its first six meets. Both teams enter off a win and look to add to that.

The Cyclone and Redbird meet coincides with a special event at Hilton Coliseum, with the Alumni Night promotion. The meet will begin at 6:30 p.m. Friday and will be streamed live on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
