The Iowa State track and field teams will head east to Iowa City to compete in the Iowa Open on Friday. This will close out the Cyclone’s regular indoor season.
Last week in Fayetteville, Arkansas, the Cyclones struggled against a stacked field of competition. The men’s mile and men’s and women’s weight throws were the only events that had a Cyclone in the top three.
The Iowa Open will have multiple teams that the Cyclones have already faced this season. Northern Iowa, Bradley and the host team, University of Iowa, will be in attendance. The Cyclones have been very successful in multiple events in previous meets with these teams, as the Cyclones look to build momentum for the upcoming Big 12 Indoor Championship on February 23–24.
The Cyclones will look to close out the regular season strong Friday at the Iowa Open.
