Iowa State’s point guard corps could be depleted in a year with the loss of redshirt senior Nick Weiler-Babb and a possible loss of sophomore guard Lindell Wigginton, who could leave for the NBA Draft after his sophomore season.

That problem may have been helped Tuesday with the commitment of three-star point guard Tre Jackson.

Jackson, who is listed at 6-foot-1 and 170 pounds according to 247Sports, held reported offers from Buffalo, Murray State and Florida Gulf Coast, among others.

Jackson is the third verbal commitment of Iowa State’s 2019 class, joining Marcedus Leech and Luke Anderson.
