The Memorial Union Workspace is offering a new craft in the “Paint Your Own Pottery” themed art week. Join them to create zodiac-inspired pottery pieces from March 24 to the 29th.

The projects offered this week include painting pottery representing your astrological sign using either Western or Chinese zodiacs or pieces featuring the sun, moon or stars. The cost of the craft varies depending on the piece chosen.

There will be drop-in hours available on Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Any in-studio “Paint Your Own Pottery” projects must be started at least 30 minutes before the studio closes (8:30 p.m. on weekdays and 3:30 p.m. on Saturdays), according to the Memorial Union Workspace website.

Staff will be available to show beginners the basics of painting their chosen zodiac projects. Painting projects will be ready after about a week for pick up by the artist.

The Workspace offers both drop-in and paint opportunities or take-home painting kits for an additional $3.

This craft is open to any age as long as those under 18 are accompanied by an adult.
