This Thursday at 8 p.m., The Talbott Brothers will be performing at the Maintenance Shop in the Memorial Union, with Anna Hamilton opening the show.
The Talbott Brothers are an Americana and folk rock duo from Imperial, Nebraska. According to their artist bio, they fuse their “blue-collar grit” and undeniable authenticity into their provoking lyrics, harmonies and melodies inspired by various life experiences.
Nick and Ty Talbott have built a strong reputation for themselves with their music, especially their songs “We Got Love,” ”Ghost Talker” and “Letters,” and have garnered national recognition from major entertainment companies like Rolling Stone, Billboard and The Boot.
The brothers have a new album, titled “Borderlands,” releasing on May 2, which explores the deep, emotional connection the brothers have to their hometown roots after they spent time away from Nebraska in Portland. While the lyrical themes navigate said feeling, the sonic direction of the album also pays homage to the duo’s earlier sound.

Anna Hamilton, an indie folk and acoustic pop singer-songwriter from Kansas, is known for her intimate, acoustic musical sound coupled with her raw and emotional lyrics.
Hamilton’s release “Bad Liar” skyrocketed her career into the global mainstream, and since then she has continued to grow her fanbase with her earnest musicianship and earned over 100 million streams, 386 million YouTube views and has reached the charts in multiple countries.
Tickets for the show are available online and are $20 for the public but $15 for ISU students (with proof of student ID at the door) if purchased before the day of the show. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m., and the show will be seated.
