After one of Iowa State’s most successful seasons yet, filled with school records broken, the Cyclones add outfielder Bri Tigges to the roster. This addition looks to further the team’s winning agenda.
Tigges, an Urbandale, Iowa native, joins the Cyclones after two seasons with the DMACC Bears. In those two seasons, Tigges saw the postseason and, in 2026, was an NJCAA Division II World Series runner-up.
“Bri will provide some much-needed depth on the left side of the plate, and she projects to add power to the lineup and versatility to our outfield,” head coach Jamie Pinkerton said.
As a Bear, Tigges rounded out her time with 147 hits, 123 runs, 23 home runs and 96 RBI. Tigges’ slash line or Batting Average / On-Base Percentage / Slugging Percentage was .381/.466/.661.
In Tigges’ two seasons, she earned an ICCAC Athlete of the Week nomination in her sophomore season and was an NJCAA First Team All-American and NJCAA Player of the Week in her freshman year.
Prior to DMACC, Tigges played both basketball and softball for the Urbandale High School J-Hawks. While at Urbandale, Tigges recorded 213 hits, 130 RBIs and 23 home runs.
Tigges was a two-time All-State player (2022 and 2023), a five-time All-Conference athlete and helped Urbandale reach the Iowa Class 5A State semifinals in 2024.
All of these accolades earned her induction into Urbandale High School’s hall of fame.
Tigges and the Cyclones are set to return to the softball field for their fall softball season, which remains to be announced.
