Iowa State football’s recruiting momentum continued on Friday after Aric Horne announced his commitment on Twitter.

The 6-foot-1 210-pound Jacksonville, Florida native is listed as an outside linebacker.

According to 247Sports.com, Horne was offered by Iowa State on Thursday, and Tyson Veidt was the primary recruiter.

Horne’s offer list feature Southern Florida, Colorado State, Rutgers and 14 other schools.

Horne is the sixth defensive player in Iowa State’s class of 2019 to commit, but he’s the first outside linebacker to commit.

The commitment of Horne adds to the recent additions of athlete Leonard Glass to Iowa State’s class of 2019 and quarterback Aidan Bouman to the class of 2020.

Horne attended the same high school as JaQuan and Joshua Bailey.
