After Iowa State’s addition of 182-pounder Logan Schumacher on Friday, the recruiting momentum continued on Sunday.

Waukee’s 182-pounder Brandon Tessau announced on Twitter that he’ll continue his career in Ames.

In Tessau’s final high school season, his postseason ended in the 3A 182-pound championship match. West Des Moines Valley’s Joel Shapiro — another Iowa State commit — knocked off Tessau, 8-2.

Iowa State’s recruiting class is stocked with Isaac Judge, Francis Duggan, Grant Stotts, Zane Mulder and David Carr, along with Shapiro, Schumacher, Anthony Sherry, Hunter Dejong and Tyler Buesgens — who project to compete at similar weights as Tessau.
