The Iowa State men’s golf squad is back at it again, this time in La Quinta, California. The Cyclones are facing highly ranked teams once again in the 18th annual Prestige at PGA West.

With impressive advancements in score from sophomore Tripp Kinney and redshirt senior Denzel Ieremia at the Arizona Intercollegiate, the Cyclones await possible redemption this Monday through Wednesday.

Coming off of a 14th place finish at the Arizona Intercollegiate about two and a half weeks ago, Iowa State is up against three teams in the top 25 national rankings, according to Golfstat. With slightly more rest than numerous other teams, the Cyclones have a great opportunity to improve their ranking while competing against top teams in the nation.

At last year’s Prestige at PGA West tournament, Iowa State tied for sixth place out of 13 teams. LSU slightly edged out Pepperdine and took a first-place finish in the tournament. LSU, currently ranked No. 11 in the nation according to Golfstat, recently finished fourth at the Sea Best Invitational two weeks ago.

The Prestige at PGA West will have one round of golf for each of the three days of play. Round one starts on Monday at 7:30 a.m.
