The Iowa State women’s basketball program got another 2019 commit Wednesday afternoon when Southlake, Texas, native forward Gabby McBride announced her commitment to the Cyclones via Twitter.

According to MaxPreps.com, McBride averaged 8.5 points and 7.7 rebounds per game as a sophomore.

McBride joins Indianola, Iowa, combo guard Maggie McGraw as members of Iowa State’s 2019 recruiting class.

McGraw also held an offer from Drake at the time of her commitment to Iowa State, per the Des Moines Register.

McBride and McGraw give Iowa State a head-start on the 2019 class, but the 2018 class is strong as well. The 2018 class is led by Iowa City guard Ashley Joens, the No. 15 recruit in the nation in 2018 according to ESPN.
