Iowa State incoming freshman Lindell Wigginton has made the Canada U19 team that will compete in the FIBA U19 World Cup 2017.

The roster, which was announced Friday, features 15 players, including two alternates.

The 6-foot-2 guard was a five-star recruit according to Rivals.com and a consensus top-100 prospect. He will join the Cyclones following the U19 tournament.

The FIBA U19 World Cup runs from July 1-9 in Cairo, Egypt. Canada is in a group with Mali, Japan and Spain, with the first game coming against Mali on July 1. 15 other nations, including the United States, are being represented at the World Cup.

Wigginton played for the Canada U18 team last year and led the team with 14 points per game.

Wigginton chose Iowa State over teams such as Oregon and Arizona. He is one of two freshmen coming to Iowa State this year along with four-star wing Terrence Lewis.
