Three Cyclones compete day one of Cardinal Classic

Three Cyclones competed at Stanford on Friday in the 1500-meter run, all three finishing with personal bests.

John Nownes was the first to run, finishing with a time of 14:35.31. That time was good enough for 11th place and beat his old personal record by 56 seconds.

The second Cyclone to compete was Andrew Jordan, who finished ninth in his section. Jordan ran a time of 13:55.12, beating his old record by 30 seconds.

The final Cyclone to compete on Friday was Thomas Pollard, finishing in 11th place in his section. Pollard hasn’t competed much at Iowa State, his time of 14:02.48 was his best by eight seconds.
