While many people on Sunday night were watching for the love of the sport, others, myself included, were watching Super Bowl 51 for the commercials. And as with every year, there were some great, and straight up bizarre ones.

Christopher Walken is a fantastic actor, but between things like his bit role in “Pulp Fiction,” and his appearance in Fatboy Slim’s Weapon of Choice music video, he carries a certain absurdity with him. Any commercial with him in it is guaranteed to be great.

What may seem an unlikely duo, Snoop Dogg and Martha Stewart, co-hosts of VH1’s “Martha and Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” come together for T-Mobile and not so subtly hint at Snoop’s, uh, favorite past time.

Last night also debuted a new “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” trailer, featuring our first look at Ayesha, Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain, and Disney’s newest money-making-machine, Baby Groot. “Welcome to the frickin Guardians of the Galaxy. Only he didn’t say frickin.”

Have you ever wanted to see Melissa McCarthy get brutally killed, multiple times, in the span of a minute, all set to Bonnie Tyler’s I Need a Hero? Well Kia has the commercial for you. Oh yeah, and they’re advertising an eco-friendly car, as well, I guess.

In probably the biggest reveal of the night, Stranger Things 2 takes is my pick for the best Big Game commercial. After quickly becoming one of the most popular TV shows of 2016, fans were clamoring for anything to do with the sequel. In a matter of 30 seconds, so many questions were raised that fans will be dying to know the answer to. One thing is certain, something big is coming to Hawkins, Indiana this Halloween, and it doesn’t look good.

Those were just a few of the best, and I certainly can’t wait for Super Bowl 52. …For the sportsball, of course.
