The Iowa State women’s basketball team lost its third straight game Wednesday night as it fell 75-66 at Texas Tech.

In what has become a pattern recently, the Cyclones (9-5, 0-3 Big 12) had the lead early in the game and gave it away in the final quarter. Similar situations have happened in three of Iowa State’s previous four losses.

The first half was all Iowa State. The Cyclones were 9-20 on 3-pointers as they took a 37-30 lead into the halftime break.

Seanna Johnson and Adriana Camber led the way in the first 20 minutes, as the pair combined for 21 points and 7-10 on 3-point attempts.

The second half, however, did not go Iowa State’s way.

Iowa State was outscored 17-14 in the third quarter as 3-pointers stopped falling. The Cyclones were 0-5 from deep in the third.

The fourth quarter was another nightmare for the Cyclones, just as it was in each of Iowa State’s past two games.

Iowa State went just 1-6 on 3-pointers in the final quarter and Texas Tech took over at the free throw line. The Lady Raiders hit 13 of their 14 free throw attempts in the fourth quarter.

When it was all said and done, Iowa State had lost the fourth quarter 28-15.

Jadda Buckley finished with 13 points, five rebounds and five dimes. Johnson totaled 16 points to go along with six boards. Adriana Camber was held scoreless in the second half as the Cyclones went cold.
