Iowa State (14-18, Big 12 0-3) lost to Drake (20-11, Missouri Valley 9-0) after leading 5-0 early in the game.

The Cyclones offense started the game scoring four runs in the first inning. ISU loaded the bases up and strung together a few hits in a row.

Iowa State would tack on another run on in the 3rd inning, giving ISU a 5-0 lead going into the bottom of the 3rd.

From there it would be all Drake. The Bulldogs would start to knock around Cyclone starter Emma Hylen, as the freshman would give up 6 runs on 4.1 innings pitched.

Drake scored 9 unanswered runs, 7 of which would come in the 5th inning. The Bulldogs reliever Kailee Smith threw 4 scoreless innings and shut down the Cyclones for the remainder of the game.

Iowa State, currently on a 4-game losing streak, has a chance to rebound Wednesday against Northern Iowa.
