Board of Regents meeting to conclude

Thursday is the last day of the two-day meeting of the Iowa Board of Regents at Iowa State’s campus.

WHEN: 8:30 a.m. Thursday

WHERE: Great Hall, Memorial Union, Iowa State University

From 8 to 8:45 a.m., the regents will have a breakfast with student leadership in the Cardinal Room of the Memorial Union.

The board will convene in an open session to the Great Hall at 9 a.m. after breakfast for a meeting with the audit/compliance and investment committee.

At 10 a.m., Regents will discuss bid opening for sale and award of an estimated $24,010,000 for dormitory revenue bonds for UNI and the bid opening for sale and award of an estimated $19,140,000 utility system. Another meeting in room 2210 of the Memorial Union will take place to discuss the revenue refunding bonds for the University of Iowa. A separate gathering will also take place from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Great Hall with the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Committee. 

At 11:45 a.m., the regents, university presidents and superintendents will convene to take a group photo near the Campanile Room.

At 1 p.m., the board will regather to discuss a resolution for sale and award of about $24,010,000 for dormitory revenue bonds for UNI and about $19,140,000 for the utility system revenue refunding bonds.

At 3 p.m., during the final time slot on the agenda for the Board of Regents, the members will be available to the press in the Campanile Room of the Memorial Union.
