Being at a huge public university can be a major culture shock for people. Finding your place in that university can be an even more daunting task, but it is not impossible. Iowa State has plenty of opportunities to help you find a place, wherever that might be.

Join your major’s club

Almost all of the major’s have a club that you can join that relates to your major. If you want an easy way to get to know the people in your major and take on leadership roles in the future, this will be a great starting point.

Join a Fraternity/Sorority 

Joining a fraternity/sorority can be a great way meeting new people. It is also a great way of  improving yourself and taking on leadership positions in your house and in the community.  

Join a campus event committee

Their is numorous amounts of events that happen on campus and most of them are run by students. A great way to get involved is by getting involved with campus events. You can make new friends and become apart of one the many things that help makeup Iowa State.
