New music for fall break

It’s approaching the end of year, the weather is getting colder, holiday shopping season is closer and holiday music is right around the corner. However, that’s not stopping big name artists from releasing tons of new music for their fans to enjoy this holiday season. From Adele to One Direction, the music choices are endless for pop music lovers right now.

Adele – 25

Adele’s third album, 25, is set to drop at the end of the week. According to Billboard, 25, is expected to sell between 1.3-1.8 million copies in it’s first week alone. If Adele were to hit those sales numbers on her new album, she would have the highest first week sales of any women in the Neilsen Music era. With her lead single, Hello, still at the top of the Billboard Hot 100 for it’s third week in a row, and holding the record digital sales record, anything is possible for Adele right now.

One Direction – Made In The A.M

One Direction released their fifth album last week (Nov. 13th, 2015). Made In The A.M is the first album without original band member, Zayn Malik. The biggest songs off of the album so far have been; Drag Me Down and Perfect. Drag Me Down currently sits at #26 on the Billboard Hot 100 but peaked at #3 on the same chart.

Justin Bieber – Purpose

Along with One Direction, Justin Bieber, also decided to drop his sixth album on Friday the 13th. Purpose is expected to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 Albums chart. Purpose currently has two singles in the Top 5 of the Billboard Hot 100, Sorry and What Do You Mean. Along with his new album, Justin Bieber, also announced a new tour that will come to Des Moines, Iowa on June 22 next year at Wells Fargo Arena.
