The swim and dive team heads to Nebraska for their first meet of the season against another opponent. Some of the team will see some familiar faces while away.

“I know a lot of the girls there…a lot of family friends are coming to watch, so there is a little bit of pressure on this one,” said senior Molly McNeel.

McNeel along with three other teammates are from Nebraska.

The team lost to the Huskers last year in a close meet, 147-153. The match was head to head until the final event.

Dive coach Jeff Warrick said he’s finally ready to show what the team has been practicing.

“I expect the [returning divers] to really build off of what they did last season,” Warrick said.

Swim coach Duane Sorenson wants to “take it up a notch” this year.

The meet will start a 5 p.m. Friday in Lincoln, Neb.
