What to Binge Watch on Netflix this Weekend

After a long week of tests, quizzes and homework, one of the best ways to unwind and decompress is watching a good TV show to take your mind off of school. With hundreds of TV shows it can be very hard to find something to watch. Here is a list of suggestions to narrow down your search and find the perfect show to binge watch this weekend.

The 100 (The CW) – Interested in movies like The Hunger Games and The Maze Runner, this is a perfect show to dive into this weekend. Centered around 100 juvenile delinquents this action packed CW drama takes place 97 years after a nuclear war on Earth. 100 kids who live on a space station are sent back down to Earth to see if the land is inhabitable again, with the goal of repopulating. They quickly find out that not only is Earth safe again but they aren’t alone. The 100 is currently in production on its third season and will premiere some time in 2016. The 1st season, which premiered in 2014, is available to stream on Netflix now and the 2nd season will be available soon.

Daredevil (Netflix) – If you’re a fan of superhero movies like Captain America or The Dark Knight, Daredevil is a show that will definitely spike your interest on the growing genre. Daredevil is a show centered on Matthew Murdock, a blind lawyer, who lives as a vigilante at night to keep Hell’s Kitchen safe. Daredevil premiered on Netflix earlier this year in April. The second season of Daredevil is currently in production and will premiere in April of next year.

Friends (NBC) – If you love re-watching your old favorite TV shows, Friends is always a good choice to watch over and over again. Friends follows the lives of 6 friends in Manhattan. Friends ran from 1994-2004 and had 10 seasons. Friends also won over 60 awards in its runtime.

Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt (Netflix) – Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is a sitcom comedy show that premiered on Netflix in March of 2015. It centers around 29 year old, Kimmy Schmidt (Ellie Kemper), as she finally gets to live out her life in New York City after being rescued from an underground cult where she was held captive for 15 years. The show was nominated for 7 Emmys this summer and already has a second season planned for spring 2016.
