After over 60 minutes of scoreless play, the ISU women’s soccer team kicked it up a notch and shut out Colorado College, 3-0.

Freshmen Klasey Medelberg and Taylor Wagner nailed two goals back-to-back, within three minutes of each other to put Iowa State up 2-0.

Senior captain Haley Albert added to Iowa State’s lead with a goal in the 77th minute to make the score 3-0.

The Cyclones held on with some key defensive stops throughout the game. Junior Kourtney Camy laid down multiple tackles and sophomore Lindsey Hendon made six saves on the night. Hendon also recorded her fourth shutout.

This win comes after the 1-0 victory over No. 10 ranked Pepperdine—the biggest win in the history of Iowa State’s soccer program.

The Cyclones will attempt to continue its winning streak at the University of Colorado on Sunday, Sept. 6 at 2 p.m.
