(Re)discovering S(h)elves, the newest exhibition in the Christian Petersen Art Museum, has its opening reception from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Wed., Sept. 2.

Through a diverse selection of artists and media, this exhibition explores how identity can be empowered or marginalized, multidimensional or stereotyped, according to a University Museums press release.

The opening of (Re)discovering S(h)elves provides an opportunity to reexamine the University Museums’ permanent collection in conjunction with the 40th anniversary of University Museums.

The exhibit is open for viewing from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of holidays.

This free exhibition, located at 1017 Morrill Hall, opened Mon., Aug. 24, and will be open until Dec. 18.
