New items on the menus, food trucks for ISU dining

Grab a bite to eat at one of the new locations on campus or check out your favorite dining area for new options.

Food trucks

There are eight food trucks around campus. One of the new options this year is Eat It!, which will be located near Coover. Indian Delights will return to campus this fall near Hoover.

In addition to these two food trucks, six other food trucks will continue to provide dining options for students.

B Fabulous BBQ will be located in the Bessey area.

Finley’s Curbside Beastro, El Mexicano and Burgies Coffee will be available near the Kildee area.

Macubana and the Cheesesteak Factory will be available near Beardshear.

Aside from the food trucks, there are many other options for dining on campus.

Union Drive Marketplace

Union Drive Marketplace will serve a new continental breakfast from 8:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. The Union Drive Marketplace will also provide a yogurt bar, waffle bar, pastries, fruit, cereal and juices.

New items also will appear on the menu, including apple chicken sausage links in the breakfast meat rotation, a Niman Ranch Italian sausage sandwich and a noodle bowl.

New items also will be added to the menu at Simple Plate.

Seasons Marketplace

Seasons Marketplace will extend its dinner hours this fall. The dining center will be open from 4:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and until 7:30 p.m. Fridays.

Seasons will also offer a continental breakfast from 8 to 10 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and continue to operate from 10 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. during those days.

In addition to the extended hours, Seasons will begin offering a smoothie option during weekday lunch hours, rotating between three different flavors.

New menu items at Seasons

– A meatball sub and Graziano sausage sandwich on a rotating basis.

– Niman Ranch Italian sausage sandwich.

– Apple chicken sausage links in the breakfast meat rotation.

– More recipes from UDM’s Simple Plate venue.

– Specialty house-made burgers available on a rotating basis on Saturdays at Wood Grill.

– A specialty Italian sandwich at Oreganos on Saturday and Sunday nights on rotation.

– Breakfast skillets in rotation for breakfast at Hickory’s.

– Calzones available at Olive Branch on Wednesdays on a rotating basis and more made-to-order bars at Bonsai.

Conversations

Conversations will now offer macaroni and cheese as a side for Late Night, pasta on a daily basis, the Simple Plate Bulgolgi Style Short Ribs on Fridays on a rotating basis at Creations and a Niman Ranch Italian sausage sandwich. Flavored waters will also be available.

Storms Dining

Storms Dining will offer students a 14-inch special pizza option of the day and still provide the option of custom-made pizza.

The dining center will also offer a breakfast sandwich to order at the Deli on a rotating basis, as well as other new menu items.

The Hub

The Hub will have a new patio that extends the current patio to the sidewalk, which will include seat walls, an accessible ramp, tables with umbrellas and a shade canopy.

Memorial Union Food Court will have new toppings available and more vegetarian-friendly options at Fresh Burrito Works. Chips will also be available along with various dips, ordered a la carte.
