The Cy-Hawk title is still up for grabs after Iowa defeated Iowa State 4-1. The loss will bring Iowa State’s regular season record to 1-1.

Iowa State had a 13-6 lead in the series against Iowa and will now rely on softball and gymnastics to clinch the title.

Senior Ksenia Pronina and sophomore Samantha Budai lost both their doubles match and singles matches.

Senior Meghan Cassens and junior Ana Gasparovic lost their doubles match, but Gasparovic won her singles match, but it didn’t count toward the final score.

Senior Caroline Andersen and junior Alejandra Galvis were leading their doubles match before it ended after the two ISU losses.

Iowa State will play Utah State at 1 p.m. Feb. 7 in an attempt to even its record at 1-1.
