Three stars from Cyclone Hockey’s Jan. 31 loss

Luke Manderfeld

Cyclone Hockey couldn’t finish a sweep against the Central Oklahoma Bronchos, as it dropped a close 2-1 game Jan. 31 at the Ames/ISU Ice Arena.

Here are the three stars from the night.

1. Cyril Meyer, Broncho forward: Meyer put up the first goal for the Bronchos. He also had an assist on the second goal.

2. Bretton Patchet, Broncho goaltender: Patchet saved 34 shots of the 35 he faced. He let in an easy one against Seth Serhienko, but that was his only blemish on the night.

3. Seth Serhienko, Cyclone forward: Serhienko scored the lone goal on the night for the Cyclones.

Cyclone Hockey will return to action against Robert Morris University at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 6 at Robert Morris.
