A look back on Cyclone Hockey’s season

Luke Manderfeld

Cyclone Hockey’s year came to a close after being swept against the eighth-ranked Robert Morris Eagles. As they say goodbye to 2014, let’s look back on their year.

13-9-5: The team’s record so far this season.

Matt Cooper: Cooper, the starting goaltender, has been rock-solid all season in the net. His 1.94 GAA and .940 save percentage rank among the top goaltenders in the American Collegiate Hockey Conference.

Zack Johnson: Johnson has been among the talks for the offensive MVP for the Cyclones this season. His team-leading 12 goals and 19 points are a testament to that.

Antti Helanto: Helanto has been called the “MVP” of the team by head coach Jason Fairman and for good reason. He leads the team with 15 assists and is second in points. His work in the defensive end has been praised as well.
