You can lower your risk of sexual assault by:
- Telling your friends your limits
- Tell them how far is too far for you.
- Attending events with people you know
- Arrive together and leave together.
- Trusting your instincts
- If you see something, say something.
- Making a code word
- This can let someone know you’re in a potentially dangerous situation.
What to do if someone you know has been sexually assaulted:
- Do not dispute what they tell you
- Listen
- Assure them that it is not their fault
- Be attentive
- Give them resources they can use to get help
