Three stars from Cyclone Hockey’s Nov. 14 loss

Cyclone Hockey continued its poor play in American Collegiate Hockey Association games with a 3-1 loss to the University of Illinois on Nov. 14 at the University of Illinois Ice Arena.

Here are the three stars from the game.

1. Tadayoshi Shibata, Fighting Illini forward: Shibata knotted the game for Illinois with just under nine minutes remaining in the second period.

2. Jonathon Langan, Fighting Illini forward: Langan scored the third goal for Illinois from a sharp angle. It extended his team’s lead to two, giving Illinois a bit of breathing room.

3. Matt Szpak, Cyclone defenseman: Szpak tallied the first goal of the game with a power play goal five minutes into the second period.

Cyclone Hockey will be right back to action at 7:30 p.m. on Nov. 15 at the University of Illinois Ice Arena.
