The ISU volleyball team is still searching for its first Big 12 win of the season. After falling to the TCU Horned Frogs and No. 2 Texas Longhorns, both on the road, the Cyclones will need to key in on a few aspects to get the win against West Virginia.

1. Establish the Block: Where the blocking game goes, so does Iowa State. Through 12 matches, the Cyclones have a 6-0 record when tallying more blocks than their opponent, but are only 1-5 in matches when they are out-blocked.

2. Contain Jordan Anderson: Anderson is the catalyst for West Virginia’s offense, racking up 260 kills this year. That’s nearly twice as much as the next Mountaineer, Nikki Attea, who is at 133. Anderson is also second on the team in digs with 137 on the season.

3. Get Hilton Rocking: The Cyclones have played six of their last seven matches away from the friendly confines of Hilton Coliseum. West Virginia, on the other hand, will be playing in its third consecutive road match. If Iowa State can start hot and get the home crowd excited early, it will go a long ways toward victory.

The Cyclones host the Mountaineers in a Big 12 showdown at 1.p.m. this Saturday, at Hilton Coliseum.
