Doubles succeed, singles struggle at Intercollegiate Tennis Association regionals

The main draw of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association [ITA] started Oct. 17 and two ISU players were competing. After today, senior Ksenia Pronina and junior Ana Gasparovic will not be continuing onto Oct. 18.

As for doubles, sophomore Samantha Budai and Pronina as well as Cassens and Gasparovic won their first round matches and will be playing on Saturday.

Budai and Pronina will be taking on a Kansas State pairing and Cassens and Gasparovic will play against Tulsa on Saturday. Cassens will also be playing in the consolation bracket tomorrow against Arkansas.

Action starts at 9 a.m. Oct. 18 in Stillwater, Okla.
