ISU players to watch against Iowa Central in softball double-header:

1. Junior Center Fielder Brittany Gomez

Gomez went 9-for-15 in her four starts last weekend at the Big 4 Fall Tournament. Look for her to get on base to start off innings and in turn put runs on the board early on the Cyclones.

2. Senior Shortstop Lexi Slater

Slater put one over the fence in Iowa State’s second matchup against Iowa last weekend. Look for Slater to hit one or two additional round-trippers to substantiate the Cyclone offensive effort.

3. Freshman Right-Handed Pitcher Bri Weilbacher

Weilbacher allowed only one hit in five innings pitched as she shut out Upper Iowa in her Cyclone debut on Oct. 4. Look for Weilbacher to come after the Iowa Central hitters, as she recorded seven strikeouts in her first outing.
