The San Francisco Giants are one game away from winning the World Series

With Sunday Night’s game five win in San Francisco, the Giants are now one step away from winning their third World Series in five years. With Madison Bumgarner leading the way in their first win of the series, Bumgarner took the hump again in a similar fashion in game five.

The Royals, who were shutout, struggled to get anything going from the plate, mounting just four hits. With a small lead going into the eighth inning, the Giants broke it open with three runs lead by Juan Perez’s two run double. The Giants’ dominant pitching and timely hitting has been a common theme throughout the series. With a must win game six in Kansas City for the Royals, they will need to bounce back hard if they want to see a game seven.
