Cyclone Hockey wins two against HC Harbin

Freshman Zack Johnson made the first goal of the game on Sept. 26. The Cyclones beat HC Harbin, a team visiting from China, 8-0.

Cyclone Hockey picked up two blowout victories Sept. 26 and 27, outshooting HC Harbin 118 to 28 on its way to 8-0 and 11-1 victories.

The Cyclones scored only one goal in the first period in the first game but had success in the second period, putting three goals in the net. The Cyclones scored four more goals in the third period.

The second game had a similar start to the first period, with the Cyclones scoring just one goal. The score at intermission was tied at 1-1. The Cyclones scored four goals in the second period and six in the third period to complete the lopsided victory.

Zack Johnson had five goals and one assist over the weekend and had a four-goal night Sept. 27. That same night, Alex Grose also had a hat trick, scoring three goals in one game. 

Cyclone Hockey hits the road Oct. 3 to take on the University of Oklahoma in Norman, Okla.
