50: Helanto played in all 50 games the Cyclones played last year.

Role: Helanto said he will lead by example on the ice but also show players how to conduct themselves off the ice.

Nate Percy, forward:

0.67: Percy had a team third-best 0.67 points per game rating in the 2013-14 season.

Role: Known as the vocal guy on the bench and in the locker room, Percy said his role will be to lead the team vocally.

Trevor Lloyd, forward:

13: The amount of goals Lloyd scored last year, which was third best on the team.

26 and 42: The amount of games Lloyd played in 2011-12 and 2012-13, respectively. Lloyd said he saw his playing time increase after his hard work and dedication.

Role: After putting in hard work to gain more playing time in his Iowa State career, Lloyd said he wants to lead by example on the ice by going hard at every practice and every shift.
