Construction at the former location of First National Bank on Lincoln Way across from the Memorial Union continues on Aug. 25. A new luxury student apartment building will be built at the location. Student housing is at an all-time high demand, requiring the construction of new student apartments.

The top things to look forward to coming to the new Campustown.

Apartments for student housing

More housing! Finally there is plethora of apartments going up in the Campustown area. Hopefully with students living being so close to campus, the buses won’t be so full.

Sidewalk cafes and restaurants

The food is coming. Enough said. Nobody loves food more than college students, so the more places to eat, the merrier. When the weather is nice having a sidewalk cafe would look great for the community, as well as provide a friendly outdoor view, and did I mention more food in Campustown?

Kingland Systems

Pull out your resumes, people, because Kingland Systems will be hiring ISU interns. What better place for Kingland to be than right across the street? With a location so close to campus, taking classes and having an internship at the same time has officially been made easy.

CVS Pharmacy

Having a CVS Pharmacy come to Campustown goes to show that when students use their voices and say they want something, people are listening. A CVS Pharmacy in Campustown means that we will have both groceries and a pharmacy within walking distance. With everything at our fingertips, we shouldn’t have to spend any more money on gas.
