Intramurals and athletic clubs

Looking to feed that competitive drive and winning spirit? Recreation Services offers all students an opportunity to compete in more than 40 sports and games, from Texas Hold’em and Quidditch to flag football and baseball.

All current students, as well as faculty and staff, are allowed to participate in intramural sports. A small participation fee is usually required, but that’s what teammates are for. Individual and team sign-ups can be found on the Recreation Service’s website.

If you need something more competitive, there are more than 50 athletic clubs for ISU students. Most clubs square off against other schools from around the country in their designated activity.

Recreation Services also offers employment for ISU students looking for some work when they aren’t in school. Students can work as officials, score keepers and other positions. For more information on employment, visit Recreation Service’s website at http://www.recservices.iastate.edu/.

Even if you spend four years here and miss out on that diploma, at least you can say you won a T-shirt.
