A Davenport man has been arrested on six counts of sexual abuse in the third degree.

Tyshon VanBlue, 24, was transported from Davenport to Story County Jail Thursday.

WHOtv reported VanBlue assaulted two victims in an ISU residence hall on May 22. VanBlue is accused of performing a sex act on a person suffering from a mental defect or incapacity, precluding them from giving consent.

Iowa State was hosting the Special Olympics competition when the alleged assaults took place.

Officials said the abuse was reported by the one of the athletes when they returned home to Scott County. The accuser also said they witnessed the abuse of another athlete.

VanBlue is being held on $50,000 bond at Story County Jail.
