Getting Engaged

Getting engaged is one of the most significant events in a person’s life. There should be a lot of thought and preparation put into the proposal.

When a man is thinking of proposing to his future Mrs., it is his time when he needs to use all the creativity he has and think of the perfect idea. After all, this will be an event the couple will remember for the rest of their lives.

Pinterest has painted a picture in our minds about what the perfect proposal should be. There are countless of ideas on there to inspire you with your proposal.

Ellen Fangman, senior and majoring in interior design, recently got engaged over the Easter weekend. She said it was a total surprise and she was not expecting it at all.

“I’m so glad it was a surprise,” said Fangman, I wouldn’t ever want to know when or what his plan was.”

Fangman said she would pry at her fiancé to give her clues and hints but all he told her was that he wasn’t going to ruin it for her. She felt at ease knowing he put thought into it and that he had a plan.

There are plenty of ideas all over the Internet for those who are wanting to propose to their significant other but do not have a creative side to them.

Depending on the couple and their interests, the proposal can be an extravagant event or a small one with just the couple. Before the proposal, you should know if she would like her family and friends to be there or if she prefers to have an intimate proposal that consists of you two.

Once you know this, planning can be a lot easier and perhaps a little less stressful.

It also might be important to have a photographer near so they can capture the special moment. That way, you can keep that memory close to you for the rest of your lives together.
