Woman led police on chase with children as passengers

Around midnight on March 29, Perry police were led on a high-speed chase through Dallas, Boone and Story counties by a woman with a man and two children as passengers.

After Perry police chased the eastbound red Chevy pickup across Highway 141 at “a high rate of speed,” according to a press release from Perry police, the vehicle was disabled in Story County.

Kelsey Robertson was determined as the driver of the car carrying Terry Seronko and two minor children as passengers. Seronko and Robertson were also found to be possession of stolen copper wire from an ITC Holdings Corp. substation near Perry, according to the press release.

Robertson was given three citations for speeding. Robertson was also charged with theft, criminal mischief, trespassing, driving with a suspended license, eluding police and two counts of child endangerment.

Seronko was charged with theft, criminal mischief, and permitting an unauthorized person to drive.

Robertson and Seronko are being held at the Dallas County Jail. The Department of Human Services retained custody of the children.
