Cyclones wrap up competition in Nebraska

The ISU women’s track and field team wrapped up day two of the Frank Savigne Husker Invitational Saturday on Saturday.

The Cyclones were once again paced by Christina Hillman and Kelly McCoy in the field events. Hillman collected her fourth event win of the season in as many attempts, with a shotput throw of 56-03.75.

McCoy collected her third win in four attempts on the season in the high jump event. Tying McCoy’s top jump of 5-07 was her was teammate Hannah Willms. The top four jumpers in the high jump event all had top jumps of 5-07.

Sam Bluske and Maggie Gannon came in second and third in the mile run, with times of 4:46.61 and 4:49.83, respectively.

Dana Christensen took third place in the 600-meter run and Katy Moen took home a second place finish in the 3,000-meter run with a time of 9:41.03.

The Cyclones will be back in action next weekend as they host the ISU Classic.
