Along the intersection of Lincoln Way and Welch Avenue, community members from Ames gathered in protest against legislation promoting the Keystone XL Pipeline. The pipeline would infringe on previously environmentally protected land in its development, thus adding miles of pipe to the infrastructure. ISU students were amongst the crowd of 30 that evening. The protest ended around 6 p.m.
