Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week is a time when trends are forecasted from fashion designers’ runway shows — there is also buzz centered around the accessories spotted on the shows’ attendees, which include bloggers and celebrities.

The Pantone color of the year, Radiant Orchid, and other neon tones like electric blue, were popular handbag hues at Fashion Week.

Leather also made a major take-over and was commonly seen as the main material on bags. Purses with leather accents were also frequently spotted this week.

The size of bags ranged from a Prada bag small enough to hold only one lip-gloss and some cash, to oversized Chanel and Balenciaga totes that would come in handy for carrying an extra pair of walking shoes for in between shows.

Fur was not only on the coats of Fashion Show attendees, but it also adorned Fendi bags and many clutches.

Metallic tones seemed to still hold appeal for some, while stud detailing popped up occasionally as well.

Quirky quotes were displayed on carryalls while some designers, like Kate Spade CQ, took inspiration from novels for their lines of feminine clutches.
