ISU senior forward Hallie Christofferson picked up Big 12 Player of the Week honors in the league’s announcement Monday, Nov. 11.

The honor came after scoring a career-high 32 points and snagging 11 boards in Iowa State’s 84-55 win against North Dakota on Sunday, Nov. 10.

Christofferson’s 32 points bested her two 27-point performances last season, and the mark is tied for 10th all-time in school history. She led all Big 12 scorers in the first week of the season.

Christofferson, the preseason unanimous All-Big 12 selection, shot .611 from the field, setting a career record for both shots made (11), and shots attempted (18). She also made 7-of-8 attempts at the free-throw line.

The performance marked her 12th career double-double. She also added a blocked shot and two steals while only turning the ball over just once.

Christofferson has appeared in the weekly Big 12 honors once before, earning Big 12 Freshman of the Week after a 14.5 point, 9.5 rebound effort during a two-game stretch in 2011.
